The FR-N7X is a refreshed variant of the FR-N7. Compared with the FR-N9X, it loses optical inputs and the metal volume knob. Compared with its predecessor the FR-N7 it loses an RCA input, but gains a 3.5mm line in and line out on the front panel. It was sold exclusively in Japan as the X-N7X, bundled with large, front bass ported faux wood-grain veneer speakers.
This was also sold as the X-N7UWX with speakers and bundled UWL-1 USB wireless audio dongle.
Rumored to be able to transfer audio from MD to USB, this hasn't been confirmed.
